MASSANGANA ENGINE
The engine’s name, with an African origin, comes from Massangana river which at the sugar peak, was used to outflow what was produced in it, and in the engines of the region, until Recife’s Port. The place is opened to the public, works as a museum and approaches themes like the legend of Joaquim Nabuco, sugarcane economy, slavery and the Afro-Brazilian culture.
